2007 Accomplishments
Donated $10,000 to build four additional classrooms at the village school. Two people conducted a follow-up visit to check on the sustainability of the knowledge that had been imparted during the 2006 health education trip. Provided additional educational materials, including school supplies for approximately 200 students. Made the first payment of a five-year commitment to pay the salaries of the Head Master and three teachers.

2009 Accomplishments
In 2009, the organization provided the funds for the operation and support of Yawa Village School in Benin, West Africa where approximately 107 students are enrolled. This included salaries for the Head schoolmaster and teachers and funds for books, tuitions and school supplies. In November, 2009, funds were provided to Action for Impact Plus, a local NGO in Benin, West Africa to oversee and administer the funds sent to the village on behalf of the Yawa Village Africa Project, Inc.
Also, in November 2009, representatives of YVAP, Inc. traveled to the Yawa Village to continue our relationship with the villagers; develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the local NGO, Action for Impact Plus; looked at the construction of the new school building; received a briefing on the implementation of the health education concepts; delivered text books to be used in the primary grade level classrooms; reestablished YVAP, Inc. relationship with the local bank and gathered information needed to assess the curriculum, teachers and the school’s operations
